An abstract 3d design created in one of my all time favorite applications, Blender. This is some Seuss type glass pipes combined with three light sources (all cubes with emission shaders). The tricky part is getting the glass to render without too many fireflies while keeping the render times down to a reasonable amount. For those of you interested, Andrew Price has some great tips on reducing fireflies on his website, BlenderGuru.com
This piece also had quite a bit of post processing in Photoshop. Specifically using the Camera Raw filter for fine adjustments.
