Blender and Photoshop working together.

This is a new work created in Blender and stylized heavily in Photoshop.

Here is the render straight from Blender. I used primarily the “Glass” shader with several emission planes. By setting various IOR (index of refraction) on the glass materials, I was able to get interesting reflections as well as some nice deformation of objects behind other objects (thru the transparencies). While I think this rendered image looks great, it feels too “perfect”. So I brought the image into Photoshop for some post processing:



And after several Photoshop layers, displacement maps, blend modes and hand manipulation, the final piece:
